On Friday, March 10, 2017, the dean of College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Lokman Aziz Abdulkareem, participated in the "International Journal of Arts and Sciences Conference" at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) from 13 – 17 March 2017.

During the conference, which he has given a 15-minute oral presentation on his self-authored scientific research paper entitled "Identification of Oil-Gas Two-Phase Flow in Vertical Pipes Using Tomography Technique". The paper was accepted by the conference board. It was a multidisciplinary conference inviting abstracts, papers, and proposals in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities, Business and Economics, Teaching and Education, and Technology and Science. In the end, the dean was awarded the certificate of participation.
